Which MacBook Should I Buy for Real Estate?

MacBook Pro for Real Estate If I were going to buy a computer today to work in Real Estate, I would buy the MacBook Pro. I currently am using a 13" MacBook Pro and have had no problems at all in over 2 years of use. I have used VMWare Fusion and Bootcamp to create a Windows partition, but that's something for another post.

The reason I like the MacBook Pro vs the MacBook Air is simple, it's easy to upgrade. When I bought my computer, I bought it with the minimum amount of RAM. I then went to and bought 16gb or ram for about 1/3rd of what Apple charges. Also, after I started filling up my hard drive I upgraded to this hard drive nearly 2 years after I bought my computer. It is twice the size of the biggest hard drive available when I purchased it. With the MacBook Air, you simply can't make these upgrades.

Now depending on what you want to do with your computer, I would decide which system to buy. If you're going to do a lot of photo and video editing, I'd look at the system with the Retina Display and a lot of storage. Otherwise get the minimum RAM and smallest Hard Drive and do what I did above.

If you are budget conscious, I'd start with the minimum MacBook Pro which starts at about $1200 and then upgrade as you can.

I hope this helps and feel free to email if you have more specific questions.
